Art and craft activity for kids at home
Little Red Riding Hood's Mask
Materials:
1. Paper Plate
2. Color Paper
3. Color Pencil or Water Color
4. Glue
5. Scissor
6. Wool Felt (if have)
7. Pencil
8. Paperboard or ice-cream stick
Steps: -
Step 1- Prepare a paper plate, put the bottom of the paper plate up and draw the outline of Little Red Riding Hood’s mask on the paper plate.
Step 2- Use the wool felt and roll it into six long strip shape (this is for the Little Red Riding Hood’s Hair)
Step 3- Paint the face and hair with the color pencil or watercolor
Step 4- Prepare a red color’s paper draw out the Little Red Riding Hood’s hat, cut it down and glue it on the paper plate.
Step 5- Cut out the excess paper plate and the eyes of the mask.
Step 6- Glue the six long strip shape wool felt that we have prepared before and paste on both sides (each side put three) with hot melt glue. Next, tie them into a braid and tie it tightly with a thread at the end.
Step 7- Cut a rectangular of the paperboard or take an ice cream stick, use a red color paper, wrap it, and paste it on the face mask's back. Now, you can have a Little Red Riding Hood's mask.
Throughout this activity, the children can….
· develop fine motor skill as they hold the color pencil and scissor by using their finger muscle.
· promote creativity and imagination.
· engages their communitive skill. After the children done with the animal mask, they will share to the parents, teacher and their peers about the mask.
· Feel joyful or fun with a relaxation surrounding.
